What You’ll Learn During The Workshop

Day 1: Textured Ink Background & Collage

Create a rich, textured base using inks and collage elements.
Learn how to build depth and dimension in your backgrounds.

Day 2: Glazing Techniques & Adding Layers

Transfer your magnolia image seamlessly onto your background.
Master glazing and layering to enhance vibrancy and richness.

Day 3: Dry Brushing & Finishing Touches

Add final details that make your painting stand out.
Learn dry brushing, soft highlights, and subtle textures for a polished look.

By the end of this class, you’ll have a fully completed Magnolia inspired painting.

About Me

I am Marie Ndolo, a passionate mixed media artist, teacher, and Powertex tutor. Recently I have launched Vibrant Art Visions, a creative space dedicated to inspiring and uplifting others through art. With over 10 years of teaching experience and a deep love for experimentation, I blend various techniques and media, from inks to acrylics, oils, and collage. My work is mostly inspired by the beauty of nature. I love painting flowers and birds. Through Vibrant Art Visions, I aim to share my knowledge, helping others unlock their creativity, find joy on their creative, and experience the transformative power of color and texture.

1. Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to explore mixed media art, whether you’re a complete beginner or more experienced artist looking for new inspiration.

2. Do I need any prior experience?
Not at all. The workshop is designed to be accessible for all skill levels. I will guide you step by step through the process.

3. What materials will I need?
A list of materials will be provided after you sign up, but you are welcome to use whatever supplies you have on hand. However, materials will include inks, acrylic paints, brushes, collage papers, canvas or paper etc.

4. How long is the workshop?
The workshop will last approximately 60-90 minutes, giving you plenty of time to learn, create, and ask questions.

5. Will the workshop be live or pre-recorded?
This is a live workshop. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and interact with me in real time.

6. What if I can’t attend the live classes?
Don’t worry. A replay will be available for one week so you will have time to catch up.

7. How do I access the workshop?
Once you sign up, you’ll receive an email with all the details, including a link to join the workshop.

8. Is the workshop really free?
